Author Jonathan Kozol talked about his book, Fire in the Ashes: Twenty-Five Years Among the Poorest Children in America. He focused on economic and educational barriers to children’s development through public school students. His book focused on several six to eight year-old students in inner-city schools. He also spoke about various solutions to the problems of inequality and ways to evaluate progress.
