Howard Friedman, United Nations statistician and health economist, talked about his book, The Measure of a Nation: How to Regain America’s Competitive Edge and Boost Our Global Standing, comparing the U.S. to other industrialized countries. He analyzed key areas of health, safety, education, democracy and equality - and the lessons that can be learned from other nations. He responded to questions submitted by members of the audience at the World Affairs Council of Northern California. Kausik Rajgopal moderated the program, “How Does the US Compare?”
