Telephone lines were open for Republicans to comment on the strength of the tea party movement in the 2012 elections. Tea party movement candidate Richard Mourdock defeated six-term Indiana Senator Dick Lugar (R) in the state’s previous day primary.
At the end of the program a video produced by the office of Senator Mark Kirk was shown. The public message was the first from Senator Kirk since he suffered a stroke in January 2012.
