Thomas Mesenbourg and Connie Potter talked about the first-ever release of records and surveys from the 1940 U.S. decennial census after the expiration of a 72-year confidentiality clause. The guests discussed major demographic and social changes that have occurred between the 1940 and 2010 censuses. They also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
