Maen Areikat spoke to reporters and answered questions about Palestinian efforts to be recognized as an independent state by the United Nations. In his remarks he said the Palestinian Liberation Organization will not engage in any direct negotiations with Israelis until Israel accepts the 1967 border of a future Palestinian state and fully freezes settlement activity in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. close
