Herman Cain was joined by his wife as he announced the suspension of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. He cited the media distraction of recent allegations of sexual infidelity, his difficulty in raising contributions, and acknowledged the pain that it had caused for himself and his family. As “Plan A” was to win the presidency and change Washington from the inside, Cain announced his “Plan B” was to continue to speak out and to create a new website that aimed to “change it from the outside.” He also said that he would endorse one of his rivals for president.
