Former computer hacker Kevin Mitnick recounted his three years on the run from the Federal Bureau of Investigations after drawing attention for his illegal access to major corporations computer networks, including Pacific Bell, Motorola, and Sun Microsystems. Mr. Mitnick, who was captured in 1995, served nearly five years in prison. He is currently a security consultant who has testified before the U.S.Senate on information security. Mr. Mitnick demonstrated security attacks and methods of obtaining personal information. Kevin Mitnick also responded to questions from members of the audience at the Half King Bar & Restaurant in New York City.
