Panelists talked about the impact of social media on the courts. Former Judge Dennis Sweeney and Professor Genelle Belmas talked about a new generation of jurors who were “digital natives.” Judge Sweeney told a story of five jurors who friended each other on Facebook during a trial. Other topics included judges who use Twitter and the future of the courts. They also responded to questions from the audience.
