Michigan Representative Thaddeus McCotter announced his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He made his announcement at a “Freedom Fest” Independence Day celebration in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, which was hosted by WAAM-AM Radio. Following his remarks, Representative McCotter played guitar with one of the bands who performed at the event.
