Witnesses testified about ways to improve Medicare and Medicaid services to people who qualify for both programs. the federal government is working with 15 states on pilot programs aimed at integrating parts of the two programs. Witnesses included the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services director and representatives from various state programs who provide health services to people in both programs.
