Rebecca Tinsley, former BBC reporter and founder of Network for Africa, showed slides as she talked about her novel about 5 children who survived the genocide in Darfur. The novel is based on her experiences in Sudan and interviews she conducted with survivors of the genocide. She also talked about current events in Africa and responded to questions from members of the audience. The May 25, 2011, event was held by the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, Africa Division, in Washington, D.C.
