Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke gave the keynote address at an economic growth conference. He stressed the importance of government funding in research and development, especially consistent funding. He also said that more needs to be done to increase the number of students entering the science and engineering fields, echoing President Obama’s call for immigration reform as a source of skilled science/tech workers.
