Florida Representative Kathy Castor talked about recovery efforts in her state from BP’s oil in the Gulf of Mexico as well as the Obama administration’s current policy on offshore drilling, and she responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Florida will not be joining in litigation against the owners of Deepwater Horizon, but will instead pursue a claim against BP. 
April 20, 2011 was the one-year anniversary of the oil spill.
