Representative Mike Pence (R-IN) talked about congressional reaction to the Tucson, Arizona, shooting in which Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and 13 others were wounded and six people killed on January 8, 2011. He also discussed security for members of Congress, the Republican legislative agenda for the 112th Congress, and his presidential aspirations. He responded to viewer phone calls and questions from college students in the audience.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was shown signing a condolences book for victims of the shooting in Tucson.

The program took place at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
