Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Rick Atkinson was honored by the Pritzker Military Library with their Lifetime Achievement Award in Military Writing. Mr. Atkinson discussed his writing career with Ed Tracy, president and chief executive officer of the Pritzker Library in Chicago. Mr. Atkinson was working on the last volume of “The Liberation Trilogy,” a multi-volume history of America’s involvement in World War II. He was interviewed by Mr. Tracy, who also asked question previously submitted. Mr. Atkinson also responded to questions from members of the studio audience and viewers over the Internet. close
