Genevieve de Galard recounts her time as a flight nurse for the French Air Force and the aid she provided for many who were wounded during the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. Ms. Galard’s efforts were rewarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President Eisenhower. Genevieve de Galard discussed her book at the annual meeting of the Association of the U.S. Army held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. She responded to questions with the aid of a translator.
