Susan Casey takes a look giant waves around the world, the destruction these waves have caused, the scientists who are working on predicting when and where they will emerge, and the surfers who track and surf them. During this event at Diesel Bookstore in Malibu, California, Ms. Casey showed numerous slides. She was joined in answering questions from members of the audience by big wave surfer, Laird Hamilton, who is profiled in her book.
