General James Conway briefed reporters and answered on Marine operations in Afghanistan and his recent trip to that country. In his remarks he said that it will take a few years before U.S. troops will be able to reliquish control to local Afghan forces in some areas of the country. He also discussed his opposition to changing the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for gays in the military. close
