Philip Terzian, literary editor of the Weekly Standard, is responsible for the section of the magazine that features book reviews and cultural articles. In addition to discussing his work, Mr. Terzian talked about his recent book Architects of Power: Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and the American Century (Encounter Books, 2010). He also reflected on his recent Wall Street Journal column in which he gives his picks for the five best books on statesmanship in the White House.

Philip Terzian has been with the Weekly Standard for five years. He has also written for Reuters, U.S. News & World Report, New Republic, the Los Angeles Times, and others. He had a weekly column for 20 years that was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize.
