James Roosevelt, Jr., grandson of President Franklin Roosevelt, spoke at a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Social Security program. He talked about the program and why it is still necessary. Afterward, he answered questions from members of the audience.

“The Mythology of Fear” was a luncheon address of the 12th Annual Retirement Research Consortium Conference held at the National Press Club. The consortium consists of the University of Michigan Retirement Research Center, Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, and the National Bureau of Economic Research Retirement Research Center. It is coordinated by the Social Security Administration Office of Policy. close
