Spiritual leaders and theologians talked about overcoming the religious issues that divide people. Bishop Carlton Pearson talked about his book God Is Not a Christian, Nor a Jew, Muslim, Hindu...God Dwells with Us, in Us, Around Us, as Us (Atria), which was then the focus of the discussion. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience.

The authors were: Malaika Adero (moderator), Up South: Stories, Studies, and Letters of This Century's African American Migrations, (The New Press); Obery Hendricks, The Politics of Jesus: Rediscovering the True Revolutionary Nature of Jesus' Teachings and How They Have Been Corrupted (Doubleday); and Marta Moreno Vega, The Altar of My Soul: The Living Traditions of Santeria.
