Christina Romer testified on the U.S. economic outlook. Among the topics she addressed was a report from the Council of Economic Advisors which said that the economic stimulus bill had created or saved about 3 million jobs. It also raised the gross domestic product to about 3 percent. She also testified about the future economic outlook, saying that deflation was a risk but did not feel the economy would fall back into recession.
