President Obama spoke to state leaders of GLBT organizations at a reception to recognize gay pride month. In his remarks he outlined priorities for gay rights legislation including benefits for same-sex partners and repealing the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on gay rights in the military. He also said that the Health and Human Services Department would be moving to get hospitals to allow visitation rights for same-sex couples. close
