Navajo Code Talkers were honored for serving their country despite the injustices they suffered from their own government. Native speakers of Navajo served in all six Marine Divisions from 1942 to 1945, passing communications in an unbreakable code. The National Japanese American Memorial Foundation presented their annual Award for Patriotism to the Navajo Code Talkers Association. Three code talkers briefly shared their stories and responded to questions from Mr. Uchida.
