One of the middle school section third prize-winning videos, Coming Home: The Final Battle, was produced by Max Benning, an 8th-grade student at Cheyenne Traditional School in Scottsdale, Arizona.

C-SPAN Classroom's StudentCam video documentary contest was a national competition in which middle and high school students produced a documentary focusing on one of the country's strengths or a challenge the country is facing. The local cable company was Cox Communications.
