Lucius Horiuchi was interviewed. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, and was relocated to Minidoka War Relocation Center in Idaho during World War II. After the war Mr. Horiuchi joined the foreign service and married the daughter of a U.S. admiral. He talked about deciding to join the foreign service, working in Japan during the American occupation, and serving in Vietnam during the war there. Other topics included meeting his wife in Japan, life in the foreign service, and his reflections on politics and the 2008 presidential election.
