Western historian Mark Lee Gardner presented a biography of criminal and fugitive Billy the Kid and his pursuer Lincoln County (New Mexico) Sheriff Pat Garrett.  Mr. Gardner recalled the numerous crimes that Billy the Kid aka Henry Atrim, Henry McCarty, and William Bonney committed from stealing horses to murder, and detailed his capture, escape and eventual demise.  He also examined the American public's fascination with the "wild west."  Mark Lee Gardner discussed his book at Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver.
