Homeland Security Assistant Secretary John Morton, who heads U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) talked about his vision for the agency with Doris Meissner, former Commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Topics included some of the major issues confronting ICE, including problems with reform of the detention system, ICE's role in halting gun and drug trafficking at the U.S.-Mexico border, and the agency's policies regarding Haitians in United States illegally.
