Panelists talked about the implications of U.S. strategy in Afghanistan and Pakistan at a Middle East Policy Council panel.

Former CIA Division Chief Frank Anderson talked about Afghanistan policy and the suicide bombing that killed seven CIA agents in Afghanistan.

Bruce Riedel, appointed by President Obama to chair an interagency review of policy toward Afghanistan and Pakistan, spoke about the conclusions of the review.

Peter Bergen in his remarks addressed the U.S. mission in Afghanistan as well as poll results of Afghans' opinions of their country.

Marc Sageman, among other topics, talked about the threat of Al Qaeda in the West, U.S. interests in Afghanistan, and the potential affects of the surge in Afghanistan.

Following their remarks, panelists responded to audience members' questions.
