Bill Minutaglio, with W. Michael Smith, talked about their book Molly Irvins: A Rebel Life (Public Affairs November 10, 2009). They recalled the life of political journalist and columnist Molly Ivins (1944-2007). The authors covered her Texas adolescence, the development of her thoughts on politics, and her career in journalism, which included the syndication of her column in close to 400 newspapers. They responded to questions from members of the audience.

Bill Minutaglio is the author of numerous books, including First Son: George W. Bush and the Bush Family Dynasty. He is currently a clinical professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.

W. Michael Smith was a researcher for Molly Ivins for eight years.
