Steven Gillon talked about his book The Kennedy Assassination - 24 Hours After: Lyndon B. Johnson's Pivotal First Day as President (Basic Books; (October 6, 2009). In his book Professor Gillon details the hours following the Kennedy assassination on November 22, 1963, and the transfer of the presidency from John F Kennedy to Lyndon B. Johnson. Mr. Gillon utilized newly declassified archival sources to explore the first hours of the Johnson administration. He responded to questions from members of the audience.

Steven Gillon is a history professor at the University of Oaklahoma as well as resident historian at the History Channel, which was making a documentary film based on the book.
