Jean Sasson talked by remote access from Atlanta about her book, Growing Up bin Laden: Osama’s Wife and Son Take Us Inside Their Secret World (St. Martin’s Press; October 27, 2009). Written in cooperation with Osama bin Laden’s first wife, Najwa, and his fourth son, Omar, the book takes an inside look at Osama bin Ladens' family life and transformation into a terrorist leader. Ms. Sasson talked about how she came to write this book due to the access they allowed her. She responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
