Historians spoke on a panel titled “Four Centuries of Dutch-American Relation.” The panelists were editors or contributors to the book Four Centuries of Dutch-American Relations: 1609-2009 (State University of New York Press; September 9, 2009). They showed some slides during their presentations. Then the panelists responded to questions from members of the audience. David Woolner moderated.
“America’s First River: The Hudson” was a three-day conference celebrating the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s voyage in 1609. This session of the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Conference was held at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009, in the visitors center of the FDR Presidential Library and Historic Site in Hyde Park.
