Max Blumenthal talked about his book Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party (Nation Books; September 8, 2009). He related his perspective of the history of the Conservative movement. Mr. Blumenthal argued that the right wing's so-called fringe is actually the party's mainstream. He focused on James Dobson as he attempted to tie the beliefs of the strict evangelical leader to Republican lawmakers. Mr. Blumenthal responded to questions from members of the audience.
