Democratic leaders from across the western region participated in the Project New West Summit. They spoke about recent shifts in political affiliations in the region, outlined further strategies to continue efforts to attract more constituents to the Democratic Party, praised President Obama for his presidential campaign in the region and appointment of several westerners to posts in the administration. The program opened with a video.

“Then and Now: The New West Leading the Way for America” was the opening session of the Project New West Summit held in the Colorado History Museum in Denver.
