Professional associates and colleagues called by both the majority and minority members testified about their impressions of Judge Sotomayor, her record, and their views of her qualifications for a place on the Supreme Court. Among the topics they addressed were Judge Sotomayor's temperament and legal opinions, as well as her upbringing in the Bronx. Mr. Rivkin spoke extensively about national security issues and the seperation of powers, and Mr. Halbrook talked about Second amendment issues.
