Author and teacher Eva Brann was interviewed at her home in Annapolis, Maryland, to talk about her life and work. Ms. Brann, who has been a tutor at St. John's College since 1957, discussed her interest in the classics and talked about some of the philosophers her students read.
Eva Brann is a member of the senior faculty at St. John's College in Annapolis Maryland, where she has also served as dean. Her books include Homeric Moments; The Music of the Republic; What, Then, Is Time?; The Ways of Naysaying; The World of the Imagination; and Feel Our Feelings. The Envisioned Life: Essays in Honor of Eva Brann (Paul Dry Books; April 1, 2008) was a collection by her colleagues, friends, and former students to mark Eva Brann's fiftieth year on the faculty of St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland.
