Robert Frank talked about his book The Economic Naturalist's Field Guide: Common Sense Principles for Troubled Times (Basic Books; May 25, 2009). In this collection of his columns from the New York Times he explains basic principles that could guide economic decisions in Washington, on Wall Street, and personal finances. Professor Frank talked about behavioral economics and Darwinian principles that lead to behavior with results better for individuals than for groups. He focused on the current economic situation and responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
Robert H. Frank is the Henrietta Johnson Louis Professor of Management and Professor of Economics at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and a regular economics columnist for the New York Times. His previous books include Falling Behind, The Winner-Take-All Society, Luxury Fever, and Principles of Economics (with Ben Bernanke).
