Jared Bernstein spoke to reporters and answered questions about the presidents economic stimulus plans. He focused on areas targeted for increased spending and oversight and accountability of stimulus spending to date.

Mr. Gibbs then briefed the reporters. Among the issues he addressed were economic stimulus and recovery programs, Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court, and North Korea.
