Kim Bobo is the author of Wage Theft in America: Why Millions of Working Americans Are Not Getting Paid - And What We Can Do About It (New Press; December 9, 2008). She gave examples of wage theft such as paying employees less than the legal minimum wage, purposefully misclassifying employees as independent contractors, illegally denying workers overtime pay, and theft of tips.
Jon Jeter is the author of Flat Broke in the Free Market: How Globalization Fleeced Working People (W.W. Norton and Co.; May 11, 2009). He was the Washington Post bureau chief for southern Africa from 1999 to 2003, and for South America from 2003 to 2004.
