Officals spoke to the press and answered questions about the results of an annual meeting of the World Bank and IMF officials to discuss measures to fight the global economic downturn.


The International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), the International Monetary Fund’s policy-setting committee, had been holding its 2009 Spring Meeting with the joint World Bank-IMF Development Committee to discuss progress on the work of the Fund and Bank.
