Louise Steinman moderated a panel discussion on reading. The authors also responded to questions from members of the audience. Louise Steinman is the author of The Souvenir: A Daughter Discovers Her Father's War (Algonquin Books; October 12, 2001). Laura Miller is the author of The Magician's Book: A Skeptic's Adventures in Narnia (Little, Brown and Company; December 3, 2008). Sara Nelson, former editor-in-chief at Publishers Weekly, is the author of So Many Books, So Little Time: A Year of Passionate Reading (Putnam; Fourth Edition October 9, 2003). Jane Smiley, a Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist, is also the author of Thirteen Ways of Looking at the Novel (Knopf; September 13, 2005). Lizzie Skurnick, the author of the forthcoming Shelf Discovery: The Teen Classics We Never Stopped Reading (Avon; July 21, 2009), has a book blog called "Old Hag."
