Terry Crowdy gave an overview of the most famous female spies in history from Biblical times to today. He illustrated his presentation with slides.

Terry Crowdy’s books include Double Cross: Deceiving Hitler in World War II (Osprey Publishing, 2008) and The Enemy Within: A History of Spies, Spymasters, and Espionage (Osprey Publishing; illustrated edition May 20, 2008).

This talk “Sexspionage, a Historical Summary of Women Agents,” was the opening address of the Sixth Raleigh Spy Conference, “Sexspionage: Famous Women Spies and the Ancient Art of Seduction.” It was delivered at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the North Carolina Museum of History. close
