Witnesses testified about regulation of the financial industry and strengthening enforcement mechanisms at the state and federal levels. Among the issues addressed were enacting law to better equip investigators and law enforcement in financial crime investigations, recent abuses and prosecutions of fraud, as well as ways to make financial record keeping more transparent.
