The team of seven reporters at The Boston Globe who wrote the book and Peter Canellos, who edited it, talked about Last Lion: The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy (Simon and Schuster (February 17, 2009). The book recounts the life of Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) from his childhood and familial relations to his political ascendancy and tenure in Congress. Peter Canellos, Washington bureau chief for The Boston Globe, was joined by reporters Jenna Russell, Sam Allis, Bella English, Neil Swidey, Joseph Kahn, Don Aucoin, and Susan Milligan in a discussion of the life and career of Massachusetts' senior senator. David Boeri, host of WBUR’s Radio Boston, moderated the discussion at a public forum co-sponsored by WBUR at the Boston Public Library. The event was held at 6:00 p.m. ET in Rabb Lecture Hall of the Central Library. The panelists responded to questions from members of the audience.
