Panelists testified before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission in a public hearing about the origins of the global financial crisis and China’s role in its creation. Among the topics they addressed were the rate of economic growth in China, investments made in U.S. and other Western currency, Chinese export and trade policy, and the outlook for global economic stabilization. 

“The Origins of the Financial Crisis and Their Link to China” was the first of two panels at the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission public hearing “China’s Role in the Origins of and Response to the Global Recession.”
