Book culture journalist and author Nicholas Basbanes gave a tour of the vast library in his home in North Grafton, Massachusetts. The author also talked about the writing methods he employed in producing seven books about book culture, book places, and book people. A video clip was shown of his September 18, 1995, interview about A Gentle Madness on "Booknotes." He also talked about the book on the history of paper he has been writing since 2003. It is due to be published by Knopf in 2010. He recently traveled to Japan and China on a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship to research the book.
