Stephen Hess, author of What Do We Do Now? A Workbook for the President-Elect, moderated a panel on the role of the White House press secretary, especially in the outset of a new administration. Current and former White House press secretaries spoke about their experiences, the routine and daily job of the press secretary, crisis management, maintaining good relations with the news media, and the changing nature of the media and the news cycle. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
