Panelists spoke about the global economic crisis and possible implications for U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Among the topics they addressed were the growing impact of a global economic recession, the need for investment in programs to create sustainable economic growth, the security threats posed by a poor economy, and the potential impact on global political alliances.
