She talked about her decision to run for Congress, the demographics of her district, energy policy, and President-Elect Barack Obama. Clips of Representative Edwards' appearances at Service Employee International Union and Netroots Nation conventions were shown. Representative Edwards was elected to represented Maryland's 4th district in a special election on June 17, 2008. Previously, she was executive director of the Arca Foundation, and the co-founder and executive director of the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
